In Game 1 of the eastern conference playoffs, Derrick Rose injured his left knee on a drive to the basket. Reports coming out now are that it is a torn ACL & MCL, which would all but end his playoffs this season. Whether he should or should not have been in the game that was already decided (up by 12 with 1:10 left in the game) is up for debate. The real question is what will the Bulls do without their MVP? While people have immediately jumped off the Bulls bandwagon, they are still confident. Rose has already missed a substantial amount of the season this year while being hampered by injuries, and the Bulls have actually played pretty well. They even own a win against the Miami Heat during this run. With the Bulls out, everybody will have to step up, including the backup guards Mike James and John Lucas III. If the Bulls can play team basketball like they did during the season without their star player, this team can still go far. Although they would clearly like to have their best player on the court, it is not the end of the world for them to see him in street clothes.

i actually think the bulls might be better off without rose. rose didn’t seem to fit in, and now we can see more of watson and john lucas 3rd in crunch time, which is always fun
Theres a really good chance that could happen. they were 18-9 without him.
