Oakland A’s designated hitter Coco Crisp was doused with water, received three pies to the face and showered with packages of sunflower seeds by his teammates during a postgame interview Sunday.





The “gifts” were part of a celebration of Crisp’s walk-off single in the bottom of the 12th to give the A’s a 5-4 victory over the New York Yankees and closed out a four-game sweep. Crisp knew it was coming and took it like a man, although he did say that the water was cold.
