In Saturday CFL action, Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Chris Williams caught a missed Montreal Alouettes field goal in the end zone and ran it all the back the other way for what appeared to be a 117-yard touchdown. Unfortunately, Williams was so busy showboating near the end of the run that he was caught from behind and was ruled down on the 1-yard line.

Williams started backpedaling at around the 15-yard line and celebrated with a teammate at the 5-yard line, but in the meantime, Montreal linebacker Brian Ridgeway never stopped chasing Williams and tackled him before he reached the end zone.

Williams did have 7 catches for 115 yards in Hamilton’s 39-24 victory, but he should be completely embarrassed by this bonehead play. Let’s hope he learned a lesson from this one.
